More Christmas Crafts

Now Xmas is over I can post pics of presents I made for my family.
I found these fabrics at www.lovehector.co.uk during a visit to Crich. As always I didn't know what I would use them for, but I did have someone in mind. I tried a variety of colours for the lining, however this lilac polycotton worked really well. I made the pocket linings 2cm longer to create a mock binding at the top edge.
This fabric was also bought from Chemistry mad Alison at www.lovehector.co.uk and I knew it was perfect for my Science teacher niece. I designed the bag to make use of the two designs. I was really pleased with the finished bag, it has carry handles and can be used over one shoulder or as a back pack.
I thought Xmas sewing was over .... then I got a call from another niece who had been let down with an internet purchase for her daughter .... I'll post when I have a pic of the finished article in situ!!!!!
Di, In looking at the Sept 2019 Threads magazine I noticed the photograph of you with a wonderful blouse on that has a great funnel like neck line and inner checked fabric layer. What pattern did you use for this top? Can imagine the insert is your own design.
